Parabellum DWM Frankenschloss-Suhl

This is a rare and very unusual DWM Luger with little documented facts on the variation.

The chamber area has been scrubbed and has been refinished with a high polish blue, which is also present on the barrel. Right side of receiver is marked with arsenal proofs, which are partially overstamped by spurious ”FRANKENSCHLOSS/ SUHL”. Spurious eagle over ”N” stamps are present on the right side of the receiver, right side of toggle and breech block, and bottom of barrel. Bottom of barrel is stamped ”CAL. 7,65”. ”a” serial number suffix is present beneath the frame serial number. Major metal components have been entirely refinished, with the exception of the locking bolt, trigger, and magazine catch button, which retain some straw finish. All matching numbers, which are likely force matched, with some components being numbered in the military fashion, instead of the proper commercial style which was used for these Lugers. Grips and magazine are unmarked.
