The weapon bears the following hallmarks from the Liège proofhouse: Starry ELG in a crowned oval : acceptance post 1893.
Perron : inspection post 1853.
O inverted and starred.
The weapon also bears the following markings: National War Weapons Factory – HERSTAL – BELGIUM which is the brand of the FN founded in 1888.
